If not, there will be an Arduino-based version of the vibrato/chorus selector switch which a friend of mine in Ireland and I are designing. And I'm not sure if there's room under the drawbar rail for the vibrato switch or not something else you'll need to consider. I know that an X77's TG will accommodate a scanner, and it's supposed to be identical to an H's TG, so you'll need to do some investigating.

Regarding the vibrato scanner, I'm not sure if it will mount on the right side of the TG or not. If you intend to use these you'll need to also transplant the TG and the drawbar rail. Remember that the H's tone generator has more frequencies than the A. I guess the tube compliment could also be considered a down side, its full of nice and now rare tubes and if you look at the cost of a re tube kit from Tone Wheel General for an E 100, it's the most expensive set on there.Lots to consider here. You need to go to the H series for those. It's wrong to say the E has no presets, IIRC there are 4 plus drawbars on each manual, they are just not the cool black keyed reverse key presets. I guess you could say the build quality isn't as high as on a B/C series, but what is? You could also see these as a bonus as they offer extra channels/switches/etc to use for mods. And some of the goofy percussion features. The only real down sides to the E are the diving board keys (not a big deal) and the monophonic pedals which don't sound nearly as nice as the C2 pedals. In fact the tone is clearer than my 53 C2 (all E's have red caps).

It's a loud punchy instrument and despite having less tone wheels (the pedal notes are derived) The notes on the manuals themselves are all there and it sounds like a Hammond. There's a halfway down setting on the Vibrato small tab that gives a good pseudo leslie sound. I also did the Trevor Noone Celeste tab mod. I never did get the percussion fully modded (2nd and 3rd) but did do the decay mod. The E-112 really sounds pretty damn good. So, if you're looking for that Hammond/Leslie sound, don't turn your back on some of the lesser appreciated tube/tonewheel organs. The dude starts out slow, but by the end he picks up the tempo and gets some really good Hammond/Leslie sound from that E100. Be sure to listen to the second video all the way to the end. Here is a video of what the E100 series Hammond can sound like with a percussion & key-click filter modification, then paired with a Leslie. A little oil, Deoxit, some general dusting & cleaning and the organ is singing its heart out again. I was recently given a Hammond E133 with screaming tone wheels bearings and dirty tube sockets. For those hobbiest musicians like me who love to tinker but can't justify the cost of the iconic B3/147 combo, don't underestimate what some of the other Hammond organs can sound like.
